Sarilar - Beyond transport

14 December 2018

Turkish company Sarilar has its roots in transporting heavy loads but now it is a leader not only in transport, but in heavy lifting and assembling too.

The company says, ”We started with offering transportation services and then purchased our first crane on credit. Other cranes followed that one, as the market needed. Initially, we rented our cranes on a daily basis but for many years now we’ve rented our cranes for periods of months.”

Sarilar was founded by Hanifi Gurbuz in Iskenderun in 1980 and today it offers crane rental, project solutions and engineering. Now based in Gebze, it also has branch offices in Izmir and Iskenderun, enabling it to cover the whole of Turkey, as well as central Asia and the Middle East. It focuses on the energy sector—oil refineries, thermal power plants, and wind turbines—as well as the steel industry, petrochemical facilities, cement factories and ports.

“We undertake every kind of construction, technical piping, machine assembly and mounting projects, as well as engineering and project design solutions,” the company says.

Sarilar’s fleet of more than 250 units includes crawler and mobile cranes, hydraulic jacks, and mobile harbour cranes.

“We have the newest machinery park and a vast range of capacities. We have experienced, professional staff and comply with OHS requirements and provide the necessary insurances,” the company says.
