The new CI55 indicator from Hirschmann MCS, when paired with the company’s gSENS WGX tilt sensor, monitors and displays inclination or tilt angle on a wide range of stationary, mobile, or marine equipment, including cranes.

The CI55 inclination indicator gives the operator the ability to pre-set up to eight user limits. When approaching these set limits, the system provides an audible and visual warning. User limits can be set on the X, Y, or slope and each user limit will trigger either a warning or one of three cutoffs (one for each digital output). The system features the option of either a 4.3in or 7in colour graphic touch screen display. Both console options feature an IP66/67 protection class rating and operating temperature of -40°C to +75°C.

The gSENS WGX is a very compact generation of MEMS-based inclination sensors, applicable for all kinds of angle and position measurements on mobile machines. The product is available as a one axis angle sensor and two axis leveling sensor. Typical applications include determination of a crane boom angle, the leveling of an undercarriage and all kinds of alignment tasks on mobile machines.
