A new water desalination plant in Umm Al Quwain, UAE, will have an initial capacity of 50 million gallons per day, rising later to 150 million gallons/day. For the 132 KVA substation and structural lifts of precast concrete and steel Wolffkran Arabia erected a Wolff 5520.6 Cross crane with a jib length of 47m in under a day. This included the foundation and full crane erection. The project, operating on reverse osmosis technology, will be the largest of its kind in the country
