Telecrawler extended

15 March 2018

Sennebogen will be presenting an update to its 673 R-HD 70t telescopic crane, which, it says, has been selling well for five years. The company will also show a new duty-cycle crane, the 670 HD.

In the new model, the 673 E, the layout and design of the cab and controls have been revised. The sliding door is particularly large, the consoles are now mounted directly on the seat and move with it, and the joysticks are so ergonomically designed that they won the German Design Award 2018.

The driver area can be customised to make it more individual and ergonomic for each driver and to give maximum convenience when operating the machine. The SENCON control and diagnosis system makes it even easer to adjust its speed and agility. Outside the cab the 673 E has a weight reducing plastic cladding.

The undercarriage has been raised by 75mm for easier servicing, and a central lubrication point for all pivot points and the slewing ring, and optimum accessibility to servicing points and components also saves servicing time. The tried and tested boom system, with full-power boom for maximum flexibility on the construction site, remains unchanged, The superstructure railing now folds inwards for easier transportation. Another new feature is the flange-mounted double collapsible jib. The entire fly boom is bolted onto the main boom and can be folded in two stages, allowing hook heights of up to 50m to be achieved quickly and easily.

Heavy duty

Sennebogen is also showing its new 670 HD duty cycle crane in the E series. Designed especially for demanding dynamic applications with a variety of equipment, it has a load capacity of 70t and is offered in three engine variants—298kW in the Tier3a version, and 261kW or 321kW in the Tier 4 version.

Sennebogen says the crane’s robust construction, multi-circuit hydraulic system and strong slewing drive make it particularly well-suited to underground engineering.

Equipped with a clamshell grab or drag-line bucket it is equally well adapted to hydraulic engineering and mining applications. Two 16t freefall winches give an optimal pulling force. Heavy-duty 20t winches are available instead as an option. Maximum boom lengths of up to 566.9m, and an auxiliary jib and fly boom are offered, making the 670E also ideally equipped as a lift crane.

This compact duty cycle crane comes into its own on construction sites where space is tight. It is ready for operation in a very short time, and the telescopable crawler chassis allows it to stand firmly on its 700mm 3-grouser base plates. Compact dimensions and an easy ballast mounting system save time and money when transporting between construction sites. With the crawler chassis telescoped in, the machine has a width of just 3.0m.

Sennebogen will be presenting its range of specialised grabs at Intermat, and is also announcing its new 6113 E mobile telescopic crane, a pick and carry crane with a 120t load capacity, currently in use at Sennebogen as a yard crane.
