Ten years of Vertikal Days

10 May 2016

Vertikal Days celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2016. The UK show has built a strong reputation as a venue for crane buyers and sellers to meet.

The annual two day crane, access and telehandler event takes place on Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 June at Haydock Park.

There will be a number of new products at Vertikal Days that will not be at Bauma this year. These include products from companies not exhibiting at the big show and some which will simply be too late for it. But Vertikal Days will also see launches from numerous component and ancillary service companies.

This year will also see several new exhibitors alongside the regulars. From the crane industry, Kobelco will show two new crawler crane models, while first time exhibitor Rivertek will launch the new Kato CR200Ri City Type all terrain crane alongside other models in its new CityRange.

Other new exhibitors include George Taylor Lifting Gear, which will present its Kratos Safety range, as well as Martin Williams (Hull), a UK commercial vehicle bodybuilder, Custom Brakes & Hydraulics, and digital marketing company PPC Stars.

The fourth annual Stars of the Future apprentice awards will take place at Vertikal Days, and will be hosted by Nicolas Hamilton, brother of F1 driver Lewis Hamilton and a racing driver in the BTCC. Hamilton will talk about becoming a successful racing driver whilst battling against cerebral palsy.

My Future My Choice will be back at Vertikal Days promoting its aim to inspire children to work within the engineering and lifting industry sectors.

Young children from local schools will work with Liebherr apprentices in a competition to build miniature cranes, and will have the chance to visit the show in the afternoon.

Visitors to Vertikal Days will be surrounded by people who all work in or use lifting and working at height equipment. All of the major manufacturers will be present, with their latest equipment and key staff.

The event will also be an informative one, with a number of seminars and workshops taking place throughout.

The specialist nature of the show also means that exhibitors have time to stop and talk, and spend time with visitors on their stands or in the many public areas.

Lunch and all refreshments are included, with lunch provided each day from 12:30 - 14:30, which includes the famous free range hog roast, a barbecue and a sandwich bar. Parking is free.
