3,400t SPMT capacity for Nippon Express
12 March 2020Japanese semi-governmental transportation enterprise Nippon Express is taking delivery of 56 Cometto MSPE axle lines.
“This offers Nippon a new payload capacity of more than 3,400t,” said Cometto. The delivery includes eight axle lines type MSPE 40t and 48 axle lines type MSPE EVO3 70t. The order also includes five Power Pack Units, four of which have an output of 335kW each and another of 110kW.
“These electronically steered self-propelled vehicles offer a maximum manoeuvrability. The patented dual-link suspension allows the greatest lift capacity while the air filled tires help to protect the ground,” said Cometto.
Over the past years, Nippon Express has acquired 300 self-propelled axle lines from Cometto, of which 130 lines are MSPE axles ranging from 40t to 70t in capacity. The company has 32,000 employees and over 711 locations worldwide.
