90 ton and 50 ton crane rentals, USA

The contractor shall provide one (1) hydraulic ninety (90) ton rough terrain crane and one (1) hydraulic fifty (50) ton rough terrain crane per the schedule below. The crane(s) shall be provided for use by the Army Corps of Engineers for sites along the Ohio River from Greenup, KY to Cairo, IL. The contractor shall bid and supply trucking to initially deliver the crane(s), and then move the crane(s) to the next work site. Any additional movements or rental periods shall be based on below schedule. The rental period for this project is one 90-ton crane 27 May 2009 through 13 July 2009 to Cannelton L&D; one 90-ton crane and one 50-ton crane 13 July 2009 through 11 September 2009 to John T. Myers L&D; one 90-ton crane 11 September 2009 through 29 September 2009 to Markland L&D; and one 90-ton crane and one 50-ton crane 29 September 2009 through 10 November 2009 to Greenup L&D, contractor is responsible for delivery and pick up to and from each site on each date. A government representative will call the contractor to schedule each pickup date and time. The crane shall be supplied without operator. The hydraulic rough terrain 90 ton crane shall be a standard industry crane similar to a Link - Belt RTC8090. The hydraulic rough terrain 50 ton crane shall be a standard industry crane similar to a Link - Belt RTC8050. All materials, equipment, and parts comprising the rental units herein, shall be in good working order, free from all defects or imperfections effecting performance. The crane(s) shall have main and auxiliary hoists. Swing away jib extensions shall be removed from the crane. Contractor shall submit the type and model of crane with full load charts and specifications to the government contracting officer within 5 days of contract award. The government shall have the right to cancel or shorten the rental period for the crane and will only be charged for the days used. The proposal evaluation process consists of lowest price of CCR registered offerors. This solicitation is to be issued o/a 23 March 2009 with proposals due o/a 20 April 2009 at 2:00 pm (local time). The NAICS code for this project is 532412 with a $7 million size limit. The solicitation and any amendments will be available for downloading from the internet only.
