Al Faris has recently provided heavy lifting and heavy transport solutions for the expansion and upgrade of two power plants in the UAE.

Both projects involved the transportation, lifting and installation of various components including: HRSG modules, condensers, steam drums, generators, tanks and others.

At one site, Al Faris Group completed more than 50 heavy tandem lifts, including installation of HRSG modules. For these lifts, the company used its 250t, 400t, 650t and 800t crawler cranes. Conventional hydraulic trailers and self-propelled modular trailers from its fleet were used for component transportation.

“The entire six month project was carried out with utmost safety and compliance to site regulations in these challenging times,” said Al Faris.

For the other project, the company’s 1000t Liebherr LR 11000 was deployed for the installation of 15 modules weighing between 160t to 353t. Conventional hydraulic trailers and self-propelled modular trailers were also used for this job.
Al Faris fabricated 270 customized stools in-house for storage purposes of the modules on-site.

“Al Faris provided our client with a complete solution for transporting, lifting and installation of these modules. All surveys, planning, technical support documentation, execution plans and schedules were prepared in-house prior to job execution. This helped organize all activities smoothly with minimum delays. Execution was safely carried out by our trained operators,” said the company.
