UK rental firm Baldwins Crane Hire has added a 500t Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane to its fleet.

Baldwins new crane sits in the middle of its fleet’s lifting capacity range, the largest of which is the 1,000t Liebherr LTM 11000D.

The company’s heavy cranes division, which is almost exclusively made up of Liebherr mobile cranes, purchased the crane fully-specced, along with an optional rear space monitoring reversing monitor and colour display for manoeuvring the 16m x 8m x 12m crane chassis.

Configured with a seven-section 84m-long main boom and 91m luffing lattice fly jib, which can be mounted at 83°, 75° or 63° angles, the LTM 1500-8.1 has a 108m working radius with a maximum under-hook height of 145m.

Liebherr’s Y-boom guying system is also a feature of this crane, adding capacity at extended reaches and heights.
