Danish freight forwarders Blue Water Shipping has completed the handling and transportation of the components for a 135m-long, 483t bridge being constructed in Denmark.

The bridge, called Stibroen and located in Odense, is being constructed by Bladt Industries and once completed will cross 15 railway tracks to better connect the city with its port.

Blue Water chartered the coaster MV Tina to sail six bridge components from Poland to the port of Odense, before transporting the load on multi-axle trailers to the job site.

Due to the scale of the load -- the largest section was 41m long, 10m wide and weighed 119t -- transportation had to be conducted at night.

Blue Water Shipping completed a tandem lift as part of a project to move multiple bridge components.
