Swiss transport company Wipfli has added a CombiMax trailer from Faymonville to its fleet.

The family-owned company has a reputation for carrying out demanding transports of cable drums, usually through winding mountain villages and steep roads up to the summit.

The loads transported can vary in weight from 10t to 100t and as the company also carries construction machinery and industrial parts, flexibility of design and use was prerequisite for the new trailer unit.

The CombiMax was supplied in a standard width of 2.85m. A two-axle, three-axle and single-axle (joker) bogie can be combined in various ways depending on the payload requirements and coupled to the 10x4 tractor unit.

Wipfli added to the versatile layout by purchasing two decks. One is a telescopic excavator bridge (7.05m + 4.11m), which can also be extended in width up to approximately 3.25m. The other is a vessel bridge consisting of a variety of beams with dimensions of 7m, 6m and 4m, in order to be able to accommodate cable drums and other freight with variable length and width.
