A year after the launch of the Eco1000 self-propelled electronically steered modular vehicle, Cometto has expanded its portfolio with the introduction of the Eco1500.

Both models have an integrated Power Pack Unit, with the one on the new model offering 105kW.  The Eco1500 is able to perform in-plant transport jobs up to a payload of 1,500t.

It is available in a width of 2,990mm as: four-axles type, with four driven suspensions; four-axles type, with four driven suspensions and long frame; six-axles type, with four driven suspensions. The four-axle type, with four driven suspensions has a loading platform length of 8800mm, while the other two types have a loading platform length of 11600mm.

The platform is completely covered with electro-welded steel plates. To facilitate inspection and maintenance operation, removable aluminum covers are bolted on top of each suspension as well as the Power Pack Unit. The design also features: four lifting points, lashing fixation points on the lateral sides, and coupling interfaces on all sides.

“The patented Dual Link suspension equipped with double reaction links provides maximum possible ground clearance. This design allows more payload (+40%) compared to the compass solution and minimizing horizontal displacement of the load, still granting the same working pressure in the lifting system,” said Cometto.

The manufacturer added that the electronic control of hydraulic drive motors allows all motors to start precisely at the same time and inching movements down to 5mm/s.
