Logistics provider Aydin Vinc is using a 180t Sennebogen 5500 crawler crane to assist the construction of the Izmit Bay Bridge in Turkey.

The bridge crosses the Sea of Marmara and when completed will provide six lanes of roadway, due to be used by an estimated 5,000 vehicles a day when it opens in 2017.

The project represents what will be the fourth-longest suspension bridge in the world, at a length of 2,700m.

Aydin Vinc is using the crane for a range of lifting and logistics tasks on-site. Supplied by Sennebogen's sales and service partner Forsen, the crane is equipped with a 35.5m-long main boom.
