Manitowoc Cranes has promoted its controller for the Asia-Pacific region, Jean-Noel Daguin, to the role of executive vice president for the company’s operations in China.

Daguin took on the role after John Wheeler, who was initially appointed executive vice president for China in 2010, left the post to return to the US.

As a ten-year veteran at Manitowoc with extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific region, Manitowoc Cranes president Eric Etchart believes Daguin is a natural fit for the role.

Etchart said: “I am confident that Jean-Noel is the right person to lead our efforts in the important Chinese market.”

“Jean-Noel brings a deep knowledge of the local culture and understands the strengths and opportunities available from our team in China. These strengths, combined with his financial background, leadership skills and business acumen, position Jean-Noel for success in his new role.”

Daguin is based at the company’s Shanghai offices.
