Faymonville has recently delivered a special trailer to transport a large railway repair machine.

SNCF Réseau is the body that manages, operates and develops the French rail network. It has invested in a new specifically designed and completely automated machine to replace railway points.

Faymonville found a solution to transport this 38t piece of machinery, a MultiMAX 1+3 semi-trailer with a width of 2.99m and an extra-long 17m loading platform. The trailer has a technical load distribution of 25t on the gooseneck and 11.5t on each axle.

The height of the gooseneck is hydraulically adjustable to allow for uneven ground. The lashing rings are inwardly and outwardly foldable, even when the vehicle is loaded. The simple but effective pneumatic suspension system offers a stroke of 200mm. The axles are hydraulically steered, react quickly, and allow a steering angle of up to 42°.

The entire assemblage allows the machine to be carried within the French norms of special transport (category two).
