Goldhofer and Trail King Industries are teaming up to promote and support each other's products in the heavy haul industry in the United States and around the world.

It will be a trans-Atlantic alliance. Founded in Germany in 1705, Goldhofer has grown to a global company as a manufacturer and distributor of semitrailers and dual lane transporters for on-road special transports, off-road modular trailers and self-propelled units for extremely heavy loads. Trail King Industries, with origins in agricultural equipment, began specialising in trailers in 1978 from their base in South Dakota.

The claim is that the arrangement will provide a new level of engineering excellence, manufacturing quality and customer service. Customers will benefit, say the companies, from an expanded portfolio but can continue to rely on long term relationships that have been built up over the years.

"Our experience and innovation have earned us an international reputation for time- and cost-effective solutions in the challenging field of multi-modal

transportation. We believe Trail King holds that same reputation in the United States and Canada," says Goldhofer's general manager (transport technology) and head of sales, Rainer Auerbacher. "This alliance puts us in the right position to maintain our standing as quality leaders to meet the various demands of customers in our international markets."

Trail King's president, Joe Kolb, said that Goldhofer shares the same value system that Trail King has built upon—a reputation for quality, reliability, and performance. “We are thrilled to now offer our US and Canadian customers a complete range of products for all of their heavy haul needs from the best manufacturers in the world."
