High capacity knuckleboom crane delivered to UK
9 September 2014UK lifting specialist Collett Transport has brought an added dimension to its lift capabilities by taking delivery of a new knuckleboom crane truck unit with 205t/metre Effer 2055 crane.
The 8x4m Mercedes 4155 tractor unit with the Italian-made Effer 2055, supplied by Atlas Crane UK Ltd, utilises six boom extensions to provide a maximum reach and lift capacity of 30,000kg at 4.51m and 8,550kg at 15.25m. The tractor unit has a maximum axle load of 16,500kg and a gross vehicle weight of 150 tonnes.
Collett already has lorry loaders in its fleet, but the high lifting capacity of the Effer 2055 gives it new possibilities in providing lifting solutions. The company claims the machine is the largest of its kind in Europe.
