UK-based GGR Group supplied a 6t UNIC URW-706 mini spider crane to assist the installation of a 25ft sculpture in Selfridge’s store at Oxford Street, London.

The sculpture, of fashion designer Rick Owens, was installed in three sections -- the 1,000kg body, 175kg head and 500kg arm.

Constructed from steel coated in polystyrene, the sculpture was lifted by GGR onto a 6m-high canopy in the store.

The project was completed overnight and also involved moving each section of the sculpture from the transport vehicle using slings, as well as lifting to a maximum height of 14m.
