Treviso, Italy-based crane manufacturer Jekko has announced that it has sold 80 MPK06 minipickers in the first four months of the year.

”The MPK06 drew the attention of both established and new customers right after the official launch, but we weren’t expecting such a big success in recent months,” said Alberto Franceschini, sales director at Jekko.

In its budget, the manufacturer anticipated 160 units of this model to be sold in 2021. With half of the planned units already sold in the first third of the year, the demand has exceeded expectations. In terms of where the units were delivered: 20 in France; 20 in Germany; with the remaining ones in other markets including Central and Northern Europe, North and South America, and the Middle East.

The MPK06 is the smallest model of the manufacturer’s minipicker range. It is fully electric and has a maximum capacity of 600kg. It can be used with a glass manipulator or with a hook. “The MPK06 is extremely versatile and is the ideal equipment for many operations, from glass panes and frames installation or marble handling, to the use in pick and carry mode in workshops and industrial maintenance, ” said Jekko.

The manufacturer announced that it has started developing a new minipicker, the MPK10, which will be able to lift 1t. The model will be launched in the coming months.
