High customer demand for its first Spierings SK599-AT5, purchased in February, influenced Swedish company Kranexpressen to buy a second of the 50m jib truck-mounted tower cranes.

Kranexpressen was founded in 1975 and is based at eight locations in south Sweden.

Per-Erik Carleskär, general manager of Kranexpressen, said: “Over the last few years our customers asked more and more for Spierings cranes.  Shortly after delivery of the first Spierings crane it was constantly rented out. Now the second Spierings crane is delivered and has already a well-filled order book.”

Spierings said their machines have been popular in Scandinavia, with many having been delivered to Sweden, Denmark and Finland over the past few years.

The company said these were first mainly used machines which were overhauled, but since 2015 it has also received orders for new machines.
