Manufacturer Link-Belt has received an order for 18 cranes from US firm All Erection and Crane Rental, who will distribute the cranes throughout its depots after delivery completes in September 2012.

ALL’s order included nine crawler cranes, eight of which were 150USt 238 HSL lattice boom crawlers, and three 75USt TCC-750 model telescopic crawler cranes.

In addition the firm took six 110USt RTC-80110 series II telescopic boom rough terrain cranes and one truck crane, the 140USt HTC-3140 LB (long boom).

Of the two largest order batches, the rough-terrain cranes will be the first to arrive, with four of the cranes scheduled for delivery between March and July next year.

Link-Belt’s RTCs feature five-section full power latching-style booms with a maximum reach of 150ft (45.7m), and the rental firm says the series II model’s added capacity, along with the RTCs’ manoeuvrability, makes it a class leader in the rough-terrain crane market.

Link-Belt say that the RTC-80110 series II is the only 110USt rough-terrain crane that can be transported with its tyres still attached, significantly reducing the labour required, eliminating the need for a helper crane and speeding up the disassembly process for transport down to one hour.

“Link-Belt is a superior brand, and we are pleased to be offering these new high-demand RT and crawler cranes to our customers,” said Michael Liptak, president of the ALL Erection and Crane Rental Corporation. “We also like investing in brands that we sell, and Dawes Rigging & Crane Rental, a member of the ALL Family of Companies in Wisconsin, is a Link-Belt dealer.”

The 238 HSL lattice boom crawler cranes bought by ALL will be delivered by September 2012, and are destined for use on general construction jobs, from bridge construction to steel erection.

ALL bought the crawlers with an 80ft (24.38m) fly jib extension for each 80ft (70.1m) main boom section.
