Mammoet Wine Brande used its Nicolas Smdel 4-67 five-axle semi-trailer to transport a 73m-long wind turbine blade for LM Wind Power.

Rotor blade manufacturer LM Wind Power chose to work with Mammoet Wind Brande as the transport company's Smdel 4-67 reduced the overall cost of the project by eliminating the need for moving procedures using two cranes.

The trailer offered high axle compensation, a large steering angle and a strongly pre-loaded centre beam, extended for the project with two spacers. This provided high ground clearance, enabling the trailer to drive over obstacles such as roundabouts.

The blade was transported through Denmark, via Lunderskov and finishing in Copenhagen.
