New Grove GMK6400 for GMykon

GMykon, a Monterrey, Mexico-based equipment rental specialist, has taken delivery of a Grove GMK6400.

The investment in the 400t all-terrain crane is one of highest-capacity cranes on the company's fleet and it will support maintenance of oil and steel production facilities in the northeast part of the country.

Jorge Zanella, Manitowoc's local sales manager for Grove, said: "The GMK6400 provides a series of design features that makes it a great fit for work in the energy sector in Mexico and elsewhere.

"The crane can easily move around on job sites and its quick setup and maneuverability ensures work goes on at an efficient pace."

The sale to GMykon was made by SITSA, the Mexico City-based Grove, National Crane and Manitowoc dealer.

The GMK6400 is the strongest six-axle all-terrain crane on the market, according to the manufacturer

It can also carry 60m of main boom and features self-rigging MegaWingLift capacity.
