Palazzani launches 980kg hydraulic winch
25 February 2021Italian aerial work platform, crane and earth moving equipment manufacturer Palazzani Industrie has launched a hydraulic winch with capacity of 980kg for its Spider XTJ 52+ model.
The new hydraulic winch comprises a hydraulic motor, 51m long rope with 7mm diameter. The machine owner can replace the cage with the winch, the manufacturer said this only takes a few minutes, to transform the XTJ 52+ from a spider lift into a spider crane. The machine’s software automatically enters into ‘crane mode’ without any adjustment needed from the operator and it is controlled by the same standard ground radio controls. “The machine does not change or lose any of its original characteristics and safety when used in Spider Lift mode,” Palazzani Industrie said.
The reason behind the launch of the new hydraulic winch was the success of the one with 500kg maximum lifting capacity which was launched in 2014. The company said it has “almost become a must have” for the machines offering a reach between 37m and 52m, mainly used for general maintenance (for example telecoms) and tree care.
Last Septemeber, Palazzani Industrie entered the crane market, with the introduction of the RPG spider crane range.
