Following last year’s takeover by US material handling products firm Columbus McKinnon Corporation (CMCO), a new management structure has been put in place at German lifting and material handling equipment manufacturer Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik GmbH.

Ronald Bartel has been appointed managing director and chief operating officer of the company. Bartel, formerly director of sales and marketing, will take responsibility for sales and marketing, engineering, production, service and logistics, as well as the company’s rail and road division.

Bernd Wagner, chief financial officer, will maintain responsibility for finance, as well as IT and human resources.

Wolfgang Wegener, vice president of CMCO and managing director of Columbus McKinnon Europe, has taken on the role of CEO.

“It is vital for the success of the Pfaff-silberblau Group to adjust the strategic orientation of Pfaff-silberblau Hebezeugfabrik, the subsidiary ALLTEC Antriebstechnik as well as the foreign subsidiaries,” said Wegener.
