Two Liebherr luffing jib cranes are being used to construct Latin America's tallest tower, the 300-metre (984ft) Torre Gran Costanera in Santiago, Chile, with another 12 Liebherr tower cranes being deployed for the construction of the Costanera Center, of which the tower forms the key element.

Argentina's largest crane rental company Mundo Grua sent its new Liebherr LR 1750 to Repsol YPF's Planta, Buenos Aires refinery directly from the port. The crawler lifted loads of 130t up to 84m high. Its next job will be at the Thermal Powerplant José San Martin in Santa Fe, where the new crawler crane will lift vessels with weight of 200 tonnes.
