The lifting capacities and reach of Sarens’ Tadano CC 38.650-1 have been increased with the purchase of a Boom Booster Kit from Tadano.

Wolvertem, Belgium-headquartered heavy lift and transport specialist Sarens has added a 84-metre Boom Booster Kit to its fleet for its 650 tonne capacity Tadano CC 38.650-1 lattice boom crawler crane. The Boom Booster makes it possible for the CC 38.650-1 to carry out lifts that would normally be the exclusive purview of cranes in the 750-tonne class.

Sarens will use the Boom Booster Kit to erect wind turbines with large hub heights. The first jobs in the Netherlands and Germany are scheduled for next April. The Boom Booster Kit will be delivered in January 2023.

“The 84-metre Boom Booster Kit will enable us to significantly increase the lifting capacities and reach of our Tadano CC 38.650-1 so that we can take care of jobs that would have otherwise required a considerably bigger crane,” said Sarens equipment trade director  Jan L. Sarens. “And since the Boom Booster not only improves the crane’s performance but also its cost-effectiveness our investment will pay for itself very quickly.”
