Scheuerle vehicles have been used to transport 54 of a planned 67 monopiles EEW Special Pipe Constructions to the Veja Mate offshore wind park.

EEW has produced the world’s largest monopile, which has a diameter of 7.8m and a length of 84.5m. The monopile weights 1300t.

The manufacturer and Krebs Korrosionsschutz are using 144 InterCombi SPE axle lines in order to move the monopiles from the welding and paint shop to the storage area.

Buss Port Logistics is using 48 axle lines of SPMTs to load the gigantic components onto barges from the factory at Rostock, and then another 48 axle lines to unload  them at the Orange Blue Terminal in Eemshaven.

The final destination is the North Sea off the German coast where the monopiles are being installed as part of the Vaje Mate offshore wind park, which will supply electricity to 400,000 households.
