Scott and Tadano celebrate 1,000th crane

US crane company Scott Equipment has taken delivery of the 1,000th GR-1000XL rough terrain crane produced by Tadano.

The delivery was made to Monroe, Louisiana-based Scott Equipment at Houston, Texas, with the crane due to be transported to the company's Baytown, Texas facility.

Scott Cummins, president of Scott Equipment, said: "We are very honoured to accept the 1,000th GR-1000XL crane. Tadano cranes have brought and continue to bring significant value to our company and our customers."

Yo Kakinuma, president of Tadano America, said: "Scott Equipment is a major player in the sales and rental of rough terrain cranes in the Gulf Coast market and an impact partner for Tadano.

"Taking delivery of this crane underscores our long-standing working relationship and commitment to Scott Equipment."

1,000 up: Tadano has now sold 1,000 of its GR-1000XL RTs, after launching the model in 2011.
