Gothenburg-based construction service company Skårs Gräv & Byggservice has taken delivery of the first Spierings SK2400-R crawler in Sweden.

This crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 18t at 14.6m and 5.5t on its tip of 42m. The hook height is 35.5m in horizontal position and 56m on the tip when the jib is luffed at 30°.

Mattias Johansson, co-owner of Skårs Gräv & Byggservice said: “Construction components are getting bigger and bigger. We already have many years of  experience with the Spierings cranes and we often see that our new customers are amazed by the speed of the Spierings crane. The increasing demand for heavier lifting jobs combined with shorter lead times of construction projects makes this crane a good solution for many lifting jobs”.

The crane has a setup time of 1.5 hours and needs two trailers to be transported. The Spierings SK2400-R can lift its counterweight and crawlers by itself, eliminating the need for a second crane.

“It’s also possible to ride the crane on its tracks in erected position,” the company said. “With the 4 floodlights in the jib you can easily continue your job during night-time. Because the crane is divided over 2 trailers during transport it’s easy to transport the crane of 84t through Gothenburg.”
