Norwegian crane services company Roar Wilhelmsen recently visited Tadano’s manufacturing facility in Lauf an der Pegnitz, Bavaria after purchasing three all-terrain cranes to learn more about the brand and its products.

Founded in 1974, the family-run Roar Wilhelmsen specialises in lifting and excavation work across Norway. The company’s fleet includes an extensive range of mobile cranes, amongst which are eight Tadano models ranging from the ATF 65G-4 to the ATF 220G-5 acquired in 2019, plus ATF 130G-5 and ATF 100G-4 that had already been supplied by Tadano.

Tadano put together a tailor-made programme over two days, including test drives on a former military base for the 20 Roar Wilhelmsen employees, giving them the opportunity to learn more about Tadano and its products and test various all terrain superstructures directly on site. The carriers of three all terrain cranes were also put through their paces to test their off-road capabilities on a former military base.

Tadano’s research and development department showcased its technical innovations including details on EU Stage V. Followed by a session in which the Roar Wilhelmsen crane drivers could share their technical wish list and suggestions to the Tadano employees from the Design department and discuss technical questions directly with the Tadano service staff.
