Tadano Mantis Corporation will expand its manufacturing facility at Richlands, Virginia with a $2.5m investment.

The company manufactures hydraulic telecrawlers at the facility, used in projects such as power line erection, highway and bridge construction, oil and energy pipelines, and railroads. The expansion will include employing 25 new staff.

Shiro Morita, chief operating officer at Tadano Mantis, said: "We are very excited about our Richlands plant expansion. We can hire more workers from local communities. We can have more suppliers and vendors locally, too. We are looking forward to seeing the completion of this expansion as soon as possible."
