Tadano sees domestic growth

Tadano mobile crane sales revenue in the first quarter (April to June) of its fiscal year stood at ¥18.9bn ($172m), down 0.4% year-on-year.

In Japan, the revenue from sales of mobile cranes increased by 11.9% to ¥6.3bn, while outside Japan it fell 5.5% to ¥12.6bn.

Sales of truck loader cranes amounted to ¥4.3bn, down 5.4% from the same period in the previous year.

The aerial work platform division of Tadano saw sales drop by 8.9% year-on-year to €4.3bn.

As a group, Tadano’s net sales revenue fell by ¥0.3bn to ¥34.9bn, with sales outside of Japan accounting for 46.4% of total sales.

Operating income decreased by ¥0.5bn year-on-year to ¥2.3bn, while net income stood at ¥1.8bn.
