A dam is being constructed on the Pacific island of Tahiti using a Potain MCT 88 topless crane.

The crane, the largest model in Manitowoc's Potain MCT series, is designed to be easily installed in job sites that have difficult access, and features minimal componentry.

It also incorporates the recently-designed 1.2m mast sections, enabling new mast compositions and fixing angles with higher hook heights of up to 47.5m.

Island records: the Potain MCT 88 topless crane, the largest model in the series, is being used to construct a dam in Tahiti.
