UK crane rental company King Lifting has added an SK599-AT5 truck-mounted tower crane to its portfolio, supplied by Spierings Mobile Crane.

The crane has a capacity of 1.9t at a radius of 50m, and lifts to a maximum height of 56.3m with the jib luffed at 30º. Maximum capacity is 9t at a distance of 13m. The SK599-AT5 will join the King Lifting fleet as one of more than 80 cranes.

Tristan King, commercial director at King Lifting, said: "We have been operating a SK599-AT5 for over the past 6 years which was inherited from the acquisition of ACE cranes. This has given us good experience of operating a crane of this type. The plan is to continue our investment into this type of machine in the forthcoming years."

Koos Spierings, sales engineer for Benelux & UK at Spierings Mobile Crane, said: "We are very proud to deliver King Lifting a brand new SK599-AT5. In 2014 Spierings delivered five new machines in the UK. For 2015 Spierings will deliver around 10 new cranes into the UK."

King’s move: King Lifting has acquired a Spierings truck-mounted tower crane.
