Haulage company Vossman transported a 105t vortex used to clean gas from Dinklage to the inland port of Meppen, Germany, using a 12-axle Faymonville CombiMax trailer.

The vortex measuring 20m in length and over 7m in diameter was transported with the help of 35 employees.

Several months ago, Vossmann, the haulage specialist, added a package of 16-axle lines together with a flatbed, excavator deck and vessel deck to its fleet.

The vortex hauling project was planned and carried out within only three months. After almost 15 hours on the road the vortex arrived at the harbour, where a crane operator lowered the apparatus parts into the hold of the ship within 75 minutes.

The ship then left the harbour to sail to Voerde, where the components were to be assembled in a heavy load workshop. From there it continued by water to Duisburg and the end customer.
