Wagenborg places four conveyor sections for Dutch sugar factory
19 July 2016 by Sotiris KanarisWagenborg has transported and placed four conveyor sections for the expansion of a sugar factory in Vierverlaten in the Netherlands.
The sections, produced by Hoogkerk-based Staalbouw Smid, were transported by Wagenborg dolly combination.
The sections, measuring up to 40m long, 5m wide, 3,5m high and weighing up to 62t, were placed on their foundation by 500t and 700t mobile cranes. Both cranes were equipped with a movable jib.
The conveyor will transport sugar beets and it is expected to raise the factory’s daily production capacity by 2.5t to 28.5t.
