Wasserman Group has acquired two Scheuerle InterCombi vehicle combinations complete with frame decks for the transport of extremely heavy cable drums.

The vehicles were recently used in an expansion project involving a high-pressure pumped storage power station of the Vorarlberg Illwerke power company situated at Lake Vermunt in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. The cables transported were up to 1,100m long.

Zeljko Paripovic, managing director of the Wassermann Group, said: "When it came to shifting cable reels weighing from thirty to around one hundred tonnes, we looked for a manufacturer that not only incorporates our experience into the development but also adapts to us as a customer would. The result of this collaboration has convinced us time and time again - the vehicles have proved to be outstanding in all operations.”
