Essex names new Coast Crane president

American crane rental company Essex has named Terry Howard as president of its wholly owned subsidiary Coast Crane.

Terry Howard will replace Dan Goodale, Coast Crane’s current president, retiring this month.

In his new capacity, Howard will take responsibility for Coast Crane’s operating and personnel agenda.

Howard, who has been the vice president of operations since 2009, was a branch manager for the 14 preceding years.

Altogether, he has 20 years of experience in the crane industry counting his time as rental manager for Construction Machinery Incorporated.

In addition, he worked as an equipment fleet analyst for Alaska Pipeline Service Company.

Ron Schad, president and CEO of Essex, praised the outgoing president for leading the company through changes in the crane industry: “Dan has done an outstanding job preparing coast Coast Crane and the management team, including Terry Howard, for the exciting opportunities that await us in this rapidly changing industry.”

Howard will take the helm of Coast Crane on April 30, 2011.
