Potain has launched the 25-tonne capacity MCR 505 J25 for international markets. The crane has a jib length between 30m to 60m. At its maximum jib length the crane has a lifting capacity of 17 tonnes and a tip load of 4.7 tonnes.

The crane has an extended free-standing height of 77.2m, achieved through a combination of C809 and KMT850 masts. The design, Potain says, significantly reduces the need for anchorage points, streamlining site logistics and accelerating setup times.

The MCR 505 J25 has a compact 15m out-of-service slewing radius.

It is equipped with full frequency-controlled mechanisms and advanced control systems designed to optimise load curves and provide smooth, responsive movements for precise load handling, while the crane’s VISU+ smart monitoring system provides real-time performance insights.

With international markets in mind the MCR 505 J25 supports both 50 Hz and 60 Hz power supplies. Its adaptive power control feature allows operators to reduce energy consumption when full speed or power is not required. This, Potain says, is particularly beneficial during early project phases or on sites with limited power infrastructure, such as low-capacity generators or restricted grids.

Installation and maintenance are simplified through the jib’s modular design, motorised gear ring lubrication, and built-in operation logging, reducing downtime and improving overall efficiency. The crane is built to meet FEM standards, so that it can work effectively in diverse climates and construction environments worldwide.

“With the launch of the MCR 505 J25, Potain continues to lead the industry in delivering innovative solutions that empower construction professionals to build faster, smarter, and stronger,” said Lv Weidong, Product Manager at Potain. “Its powerful lifting capabilities and global adaptability make it an excellent choice for high-rise and complex construction projects.”
