Contractor Marti AG required the cranes to meet the height and shape of the building, which features a tapering design at the top of the structure.
A Wolff 7532.16 saddle jib crane with 70m jib and maximum tip load capacity of 4t was set up at the rear of the building. The crane climbed to a final tower height of 191.5m, to keep pace with the building which rose by one level every two weeks.
At the side of the building that tapered upwards, two Wolff cranes were used. After a 6023.8 was used initially, the distance to tie the saddle jib crane to the building became too large and the crane was replaced with a Wolff 180B compact luffing crane with 45m jib.
