Pete Kerrick has joined US equipment manufacturer Bushman Equipment as vice president in charge of sales.

Kerrick joins Bushmann from Morris Material Handling Inc (previously P&H), where he worked for 25 years. As a vice president of Morris, he held industry leadership positions within the Crane Manufacturers Association of America, as chairman of its service committee, and the Hoist Manufacturers Institute.

kerrick told Hoist that he had "thoroughly enjoyed" his 25 years with P&H/Morris. "They are a great company, back on a solid footing, with a bright future ahead," he said.

Joining Bushman, however, was "an opportunity to help a smaller company grow in the short term," he said, adding: "And for the short term my focus is on top line sales but over the next several years I will look to take on added responsibilities." Although engineered load handling attachments account for most of Bushman's $5m annual sales, Kerrick believes that the greater growth potential lies in the subsidiary West Bend division that specialises in floor-mounted materials handling devices.
