Spanish rental company expands

Spanish crane rental company Gruas Roxu has expanded its operations beyond its home region of Asturias region in the northwest to the Castille-Leon region in the west by taking over Gruas Durruti in Leon, , western Spain.

Gruas Roxu has 130 cranes, the largest of which are 500t capacity. It has sales of about Euro 24m and 250 employees.

In addition to the parent company Gruas Roxu, the group includes lifting equipment engineering company Ingenieria de Elevacion Asturiana (Idea), repair and maintenance company Inversiones Garcia Rodriguez (IGR), aerial work platform rental company Plataformas Aereas Asturianas (Plaas), and the crane rental companies Gruas Pedregal and now Gruas Durruti.
