SPMT move luxury yacht

Italian luxury yacht handling specialist TER, part of the Piccini Group, used 40 axle lines of Cometto SPMT to move a boat weighing 1,100 tonnes.
The yacht needed to be bought ashore for maintenance. To ensure maximum stability the SPMT were assembled in an unusual formation: at the rear of the ship two lines with 14 MSPE axles each were assembled in a side-by-side configuration. At the front, three four-axle units were assembled in a 90° position to create a larger platform with better stability. Five Powerpack units propelled the convoy, transporting the yacht from a floating dock to the repair building site.
