To carry out a detailed structural survey of a 30m high railway viaduct, the Bronto S28 MDT high level powered access platform proved ideal.

Mounted on a 6x6 Mercedes Benz 2628 chassis, the rough terrain platform has a 28m reach and is the only one of its type in the UK according to the owner, access hire company Facelift.

Restoration of the 156 year old viaduct spanning the Ouse Valley, Sussex, UK should take about two years at a cost of about £6m ($?).

Another structure undergoing maintenance work is Southampton City Council’s 773m-long cantilever concrete box girder bridge in the UK.

Access to the underneath of the 14m wide road deck was only possible from one side so Facelift supplied Moog MBI L-shaped underbridge platforms that extend to a maximum of 15m under the soffit.
