Van Seumeren Mammoet has sold its 30% share of Mammoet Shipping BV to the majority owner Spliethoff.

The name of the company now changes to BigLift Shipping BV as Van Seumeren took ownership of the Mammoet brand name when it bought Mammoet Transport from the Nedlloyd Group in July 2000.

It always seemed likely that Van Seumeren would dispose of this shareholding as it had already scaled back its own maritime activities last year, selling a tugboat and its share in two crane barges.
