Dutch civil engineering contractor BAM Nuttall Group has taken delivery of a new Kobelco crawler crane for a container port project in Bristol, UK.

The group is using the 110t capacity CKE1100G for work on the new £500m Avonmouth Deep Sea Container Port Terminal in Bristol.

This is the second crane bought by BAM Nuttall in recent months: the first was a 135t capacity CKE1350G, which is being used on a new nuclear power project.

Kobelco's UK manager Andrew Brown to Stephen Jarvis handed the cranes to Dave Holdaway of BAM-Nuttall Plant.

Kebelco said the cranes were from its 'G-Series' launched last year with many major improvements, including new Stage 3-approved engines and other green features.
