Barnhart buys Marino

Middletown, Connecticut-based Marino Crane has been bought out by Memphis, Tennessee-based Barnhart Crane and Rigging. The company is now a division of Barnhart Northeast, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Barnhart Crane and Rigging Company, which also includes Philadelphia's Hake Rigging. Barnhart acquired Hake in 2005. Barnhart also has a depot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Chicago, Illinois.

For over 55 years, Marino has provided crane service, heavy lifting, heavy transportation and specialized rigging to a wide range of customers. Through the relationship with Barnhart, Marino now has access to more than 225 operated cranes, heavy lift cranes to 1,760 tons, slide systems, hydraulic gantries, Goldholfer PST-E platform trailers, modular lift towers and other lifting and transportation tools.

Barnhart Crane & Rigging, established in 1969, is centred around the southeastern USA, although it also has a branch in Seattle, Washington. The company has 19 branches across the United States, and also provides logistics, machinery moving and plant relocations.
