Cometto MSPE trailers for Navantia

Spanish company Navantia recently received nine modular combinations of self-propelled MSPE 48t trailers from Cometto. adding up to a total of 46 axle lines.

Navantia is one of the main players in design and construction of hi-tech military vessels and civil vessels around the world.

The supply includes five 6-axle 48t MSPE 6/4/2.43, four 4-axles modules type MSPE 4/2/2.43 and two power packs with an output of 368kW.

The two 368kW power packs are equipped with the first Scania engines that have been delivered after the recent partnership between Cometto and the Swedish automotive industry manufacturer. Each of them comes with the necessary kits for coupling and distance connection. This gives the customer all the possibilities to form lifting platforms of any dimension and shape, according to the specific cargo requirements.

Simone Ricca, Cometto’s product manager, said: “The flexibility of Cometto allows specific solutions, also with regard to the tyres. These modules are equipped with solid rubber tyres as requested from the customer, assuring highest payload capacity and an excellent safety-factor.”
