Fleet news: Orders and deliveries

This month’s fleet updates include orders and deliveries of Liebherr, Grove, Demag, Terex, Fassi, Wolffkran.

Steil Kranarbeiten based in Trier, Germany, has taken delivery of a new Liebherr LTM 1500-8.1 mobile crane. For its first job, the new Liebherr 500-tonne crane worked with another LTM 1500-8.1 from Steil to complete a tandem hoist of a 185 tonne gas turbine in Luxembourg.

German crane provider Auto-Klug has taken delivery of a Grove GMK4100L-1 all-terrain crane, the first in the country to be equipped with a Samson K-100 synthetic rope.  It was delivered to the company’s Bindlach branch in southeast Germany, where it plans to use the crane for a wide range of lifting applications that support its transport operations.

Italian rental company Baldini Group celebrated the purchase and imminent delivery of a Grove GMK4100L-1 crane at the GIS 2017 tradeshow in Piacenza, Italy. The company has placed an order for additional GMK5150L and GMK6300L models.

At GIS 2017 Italian rental company Musselli celebrated the purchase of a new Grove GMK5250L. Musselli, based in Northern Italy, purchased the crane in the runup to the tradeshow, and it is set to be delivered in November.

UK crane rental company Davies Crane Hire, which has its headquarters in Carmarthen, South Wales, received a 300t capacity Grove GMK6300L and a 100t capacity GMK4100L-1. The 100t machine is based at the company’s main depot in Carmarthen, while the 300t unit operates out of its Port Talbot location.

Detlef Urban has taken delivery of a Demag AC 100-4L all terrain crane making it the 12th crane of this make to be owned by the company. The unit was handed over to the Urban delegation by Terex Cranes Sales Managers Jenny Rosenblatt and Torsten Hanke in Zweibrücken.

Benson Crane Service has taken delivery of a brand new 2015 Terex Explorer 5500 from Empire Crane based in Syracuse, New York. The crane is already been put to work, currently erecting steel for the Queens City Lofts project in Poughkeepsie New York. This job is expected to continue through the winter.

French tower crane rental company LOGA is expanding its fleet with the addition of seven new Terex CTT 132-6 flat top tower cranes.

American Crane and Rigging has purchased a Wolffkran W8033.20 from Empire Crane. For it’s first job, it has been rented by American Iron to build the 2100USt structural steel, $120m addition to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania located in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Fassi’s Spanish distributor Trangrúas Cial delivered an F545RA.2.26 xe-dynamic loader crane with L324 jib to Transports i Excavacions Forn Nou, a company based in the village of Sant Josep de sa Talaia in western Ibiza, Spain.

Fassi’s Dutch distributor De Jong Ijmuiden delivered a Fassi F545RA.2.27 xe-dynamic loader crane to Boogaard Transport in North Holland. The crane was fitted with an L214 hydraulic fly-jib and a 2-tonne winch, mounted on a 6x2 Volvo FM truck with an extra light chassis.

Fassi’s Russian dealers, GK Spetskommash LLC, installed an F155A.0.22 active loader crane on to a KAMAZ 43253 truck equipped with an UM12 tipper trailer for waste disposal, produced by the company Kommash JSC.
